International Internship Experience: Ethan and Seth from Pittsburgh State University

Our US interns Ethan Durham and Seth Phillips from Pittsburgh State University wrapped up their internship with us last week!

In their time here, Ethan and Seth gained quality experience that helped develop their professional skills. “Every day brought new learning opportunities,” shared Ethan. “I earned quite a bit of hands-on experience in project engineering, following parts from concept to completion. These are real-life skills that I got here, and I’ll be glad to take them home with me.” Seth added, “The experience was amazing. Aside from the technical learnings, I was able to really develop my interpersonal skills. Being able to collaborate with a diverse team has done wonders for my confidence.”

The duo also got to explore Melbourne during their 5-month stay in Australia. “We went to the Great Ocean Road, Warrnambool, and we also did some golfing,” Seth shared. “We did a lot of exploring around the city, and we went to the Yarra Valley as well,” Ethan added. “It’s beautiful here.”

As they return to the US, Ethan will continue his studies at Pittsburgh State after a 12-week break, while Seth will focus on his master’s degree in engineering technology. Both are also heading to Chicago in November to attend a Foundry Educational Foundation job fair, where they hope to start the next big chapter in their careers.

Thank you, Ethan and Seth for being a part of our team – we enjoyed having you here and we wish you both the best in your future endeavours!
