At the 59th Australian Export and Investment Awards, AW Bell is awarded the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Export Award.

Every year the Australian Export and Investment Awards recognise and honour the achievements of Australian exporters and investors who have made an enduring contribution to the Australian economy. Made possible by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and industry partners, this year’s event was held on Thursday 25th November 2021.

The category of Manufacturing and Advanced Materials celebrates outstanding international success in manufacturing, engineering and/or advanced materials development. This includes production of consumer products.

Sam Bell, CEO of AW Bell accepted the award.

“We are very proud to win this award, very unexpected. The business has developed out of the automotive industry to aerospace and defence – this has really being on the back of businesses telling us what we can don’t. That Australian competitive streak that if someone tells you that you can’t do it, you go and do it. A lot of our customers have said, yep give it a shot but you are competing against the biggest companies in the world, we don’t think you have a chance. We have proven them wrong and transitioned the business to where we are today,” he said.

“This accolade is testament to the hard work and commitment by everyone at AW Bell over the years, and could not have been made possible without the incredible team we have at AW Bell, our partners, suppliers, customers and from ongoing government support. We are very grateful for the honour.”
